BREAKING NEWS
Last chance to complete a Home Energy Check (HEC) or carbon footprint survey!
Between now and the end of March we will be knocking on doors to give you the necessary forms, helping you to save money on your winter fuel bills or putting you in touch with insulation specialists. 60 households have already completed HECs, and we are offering these households a further survey which addresses lifestyle choices and carbon impact. This gives a good snapshot of where energy and money can be saved.
If you are interested in either of these surveys, please contact Alison Hazell tel: 0141 958 2540. We will also be giving a free calendar or energy saving light bulb to everyone completing either of these by March.
If you are not interested in a Check but would like some general advice, Alison will be holding Surgeries at the Coach House, every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am—11:00 am. Pop in for advice on reading bills, draughtproofing and other fuel saving measures, or just come along for a chat.

The Cut the Carbon group are looking at new ways to address these issues over the coming year. Please look at our ideas which we are currently drafting into a funding application. Your comments and suggestions are most welcome

Stall holders answered questions on different topics including alternative sources of energy, composting, recycling and healthy eating. We also had the EDC Food Co-op visit us and make delicious vegetable curry.
The children had plenty to do - storytelling, arts and crafts, eco drama sessions and trips on the Loch. A big thank you to all who came along as well as to the Sailing Club for delicious soup and the volunteers who helped organise on the day.
